In a ceremony much like the one that brought us into the Salerno fold, 3/3 Marines, America's Battalion passed their torch and then just kind of melted away into the Afghan countryside. While I'm sure we'll still see them around now and then, I'm going to miss the Marines. The gave operations here the "Joint Forces Operation" flavor and, to the person, they were every bit the professional. While I don't think the cave-dwellers are going to get any kind of a break from Task Force White Devil, the elements of the Army's 82nd Airborne that replaced them, it was easy to see why so many people are enamoured with the corps.

Semper Fi, Trinity, and Good Hunting.
